In 2018, a murderous game was played in Morbi in a land case in which three people were killed and 12 accused were arrested in this crime. Out of which one accused has died while the other 11 accused have been sentenced to life imprisonment by the court today. It is noteworthy that in this case, the in-depth investigation of the then senior police officers as well as the investigating officer and the arguments of the district government prosecutor have played an important role in getting the accused punished.
According to the details, in the year 2018, there was a dispute over land survey number 1086 in the Vajpar area. In which dispute, 12 people killed three people with weapons like swords and dhokas. Pathan, Afzal Pathan and Momin Pathan were attacked and beaten to death indiscriminately. In the shocking triple murder case, under the instructions of the then Morbi SP and currently Valsad SP IPS Dr. Karanraj Vaghela and the guidance of the then DYSP Banno Joshi, the then PSI of Morbi Taluka Police Station and currently Ahmedabad Kagdapith PI S.A. Gohil arrested 12 accused Bharat Dabhi, Jayanti Naranbhai, Ashwin Jivrajbhai, Bharat Jivrajbhai, Dhanji Mansukhbhai, Kanji Mansukhbhai, Shivabhai Ramjibhai, Mansukh Ramjibhai, Jivraj Ramjibhai, Pravin Shivabhai, Kishore Shivabhai, Sanjay Naranbhai and sent them to judicial custody. Also, during the investigation, the police collected 37 oral evidence and 63 documentary evidence along with scientific evidence. So, in this case, 1 accused Shivabhai Ramjibhai died during judicial custody while the other 11 accused are still lodged in Morbi sub-jail. The case was heard in the Morbi District Court yesterday, and the strong oral and documentary evidence presented by the police as well as the government prosecutor Vijay C. Considering Jani’s strong arguments, all 11 accused have been sentenced to life imprisonment. This verdict of sentencing 11 accused to life imprisonment simultaneously is considered a historic verdict for Morbi.
